Martin Hall: Martin Hall here for Five Star Golf Mats. We're on the 5x5 Perfect ReAction mat. It’s Five Star Golf's highest quality mat – 1and 3/4 of an inch thick, fabulous. Talking of fabulous, I'm joined by my boss here, Robin Boretti, the Director of Golf at the club at Ibis. Good morning!

Robin Boretti: Good morning, Martin.

Martin Hall: Now you teach a lot of golf, don't you?

Robin Boretti: I do.

Martin Hall: Is the top a problem?

Robin Boretti: Seriously? Yes, yes, very much a problem.

Martin Hall: So here's a drill that Robin would use, that I use, and if you're at home you’ll want to use it to Stop the Top. Now, it's a little drill I'm going to, sort of, mimic left-handed as if you were looking in the mirror. I'm actually going to take my top hand off the club and put it just
above the club. I'm going to take my trail hand, take the club about over here, and bring it forward, like so. So my trail shoulder, your right shoulder, goes way underneath the chin. Can you feel that?

Robin Boretti: Yes.

Martin Hall: Now, I'm going to put my trail hand back on the club. Now, you can feel there – feel how the trail shoulder is low? Feel how the arms are close together? Feel how
the club head is a good away – good amount away – from the lead shoulder feeling that
stretch. That's the underneath part, yes, exactly. That will take the top out of play. Do you think you can do that and hit a golf ball for me?

Robin Boretti: Sure can! I will try.

Martin Hall: Time to “Stop the Top,” absolutely. Stop the top Ms. Boretti! And you did a beautiful shot, a nice draw, your patented draw shot. Very good, indeed. Listen, if you struggle with the top, this drill is a particularly good one to get the feeling of the arms being stretched away, the trail shoulder there. And if you do that, yes, it's going to help you and help you a lot!
