Renowned golf instructor Martin Hall and one of his junior players demonstrate how turning your chest to the sky on both the backswing and follow-through is a great way to add more distance to your drives.

Martin Hall: Martin Hall here with Five Star Golf Mats. We're on the Octagon Mat, which you can see, which is engineered to withstand high traffic in commercial settings – fabulous mat. I'm joined by my friend, Stacy, who I've taught for a while, haven't I?
Stacy: Yes.
Martin Hall: How is your golf game?
Stacy: Oh, it's great.
Martin Hall: Well, I love to hear that. Now, Stacy does something that most of us can learn from. In fact, all of us could learn from. She, as she makes her back swing, she turns her chest to the sky. And as she swings through to the target, she turns her chest to the sky. Now, big mistake the B of people make they try and stay down. Have I ever asked you to stay down?
Stacy: No.
Martin Hall: Never, not once. Never will, never have done, not happening. Because if you stay down, you complicate, you really make a mess of the turn. So put club across your shoulder, Stace. Now we're going to make a back swing turn. We're going to turn but think of turning your chest to the sky. For the golfers at home: turn your chest to the sky going back, turn your chest to the sky going through. Turn your chest to the sky and watch it fly. Good one, that isn't it? Turn your chest to the sky and watch it fly. Chest up, chest up the other way. All there is left to be done is hit a cracking golf shot right down the middle. Okay, Stace, let's see you hit one. Chest to the sky, chest to the sky, watch it fly. Beautiful golf shot – slight fade, right on target, as you can see – yes she's got game. We know she's got game because she turns her chest to the sky, which helps it fly! That is going to help you.
