Martin Hall: Martin Hall here for Five Star Golf Mats. I'm with Robin Boretti, my Director of
Golf here at the Club at Ibis. Thank you for joining me today.

Robin Boretti: Happy to be here, Martin.

Martin Hall: We're on the Perfect ReAction mat, where you can hit down and through with no fear of injuring your wrists or elbows. I love how the sort of, you know, the density – it's beautiful – to hit into this mat, no doubt. Robin, as someone who does a lot of teaching, do
you see people hitting the ground first – fat shots?

Robin Boretti: Daily.

Martin Hall: Yeah, well, we need to put people's golf swings on a fat-free diet.

Robin Boretti: Wonderful.

Martin Hall: And I've got a very simple draw, you may have heard of Scotty Scheffler?

Robin Boretti: Pretty good player.

Martin Hall: Indeed! Yeah, he doesn't hit many fat shots. He's very interesting when you watch him swing – I'll do this left-handed so it's like a mirror image – but as Scotty swings down, his trail foot closes in on his lead foot, a lot. Now, what does that help? Oh well, it just gets the weight on the front foot, which makes it really difficult to hit the ball fat. So, to put your swing on a fat-free diet it’s good for everybody to practice hitting shots and have what I call the Soft Shoe Shuffle. The Sheffer Soft Shoe Shuffle.

Robin Boretti: I like it! I like it!

Martin Hall: I got it out, I didn't think I would. So, give me the Sheffer Soft Shoe Shuffle where you slide your trail foot. Here we go! We're going to let the trail foot slide, putting the swing on a fat-free diet. You did it beautifully! Finished with all the weight on the front foot. If you do that, your swing will be fat free and guess what? That's really going to help you!
